Texas has become a national leader in the movement to bring greater transparency to government spending, but merely making this information public is not enough. This information must be easily accessible to the public and available in easily understood language—not bureaucratic jargon that only insiders can understand. Texas taxpayers deserve this information. After all, it is our money that our elected officials are spending, and we should know how they are using it and hold them accountable!
